Our new Truck

This is the vehicle I have purchased for my wife and I to drive. It's my first-ever 4x4. It has 31" tires on it, I'm not sure if it's been lifted because all the parts look like they've been on there since 1988. There is a backseat, which our son will appreciate. There is a lot of room behind the backseat, which will make it easier to get groceries home, in any weather. The small amount of off-roading we have done has proven it to be a very capable machine.

Ubuntu, do you speak it?

I'm glad I'm taking the time to learn to use Linux. Whenever I have to boot Windows XP I feel like I'm in the dark ages of computing. After you see the desktop in XP, it's still working it's little heart out to get done loading up. When you see the GNOME desktop in Ubuntu (I'm using 9.10) it's done. No more waiting. It's ready to use, and will follow your commands instantly and with alacrity. And I can run many games in Ubuntu, including Doom3 and World of Warcraft. And I don't have to reboot it. Ever. If a program crashes it doesn't crash the operating system. How handy is that?
A small visitor...

The other half found her lying by the curb, so weak she couldn't move. Panting uncontrollably. We gave her water, and brought her in the house to recover in the A/C. I put an ad up on Craigslist, and fortunately, someone came to get her.

Speedy, Rest in Pieces

We will miss your air conditioning, your quiet exhaust, your primer paint job with the safety yellow showing through, and your I-Think-I-Can personality. I'm glad my wife was driving you, and not some modern crumple-zone tin can. May your major components bring new life to other old Chevrolets. We will miss you.

You may be replaced, but never forgotten.
I'm trying this again

Going to try this again. Things have changed since last time. I've been married over a year. I'm now 30 years old. Life is OK. I'm apparently one of the few people in the past couple of years who has not only kept his job, but has been working overtime. Not all is roses. But I can't really complain.
